Simple but goodA bit difficult to find and not a very good first impression: pretty old furnishing and decoration, but after eating the hamburgueses of the brief menu, our impression changed. The bread was awesome, so was the meet and the price!!!

It town for the play off and went to the billy goat tavern to support the cubs…great vibe, beers and food…place was packed and a good time – well worth a visit and history
I’m giving this a 5 because they always have good cheap burgers, great drinks, and you never know what to expect except a great time! Besides that, this is the oldest location, across from the Wrigley Building at the foot of the Tribune Tower, and a piece of Chicago and American culture. If you’re visiting Chicago, you know the restaurants Downtown can get pricey fast and it can be tough to find an economical dinner. They definitely don’t serve gourmet food here, but the burgers are tasty and are served on giant Kaiser rolls and the pickles and onions are fresh. Their offerings are simple, but EXTREMELY inexpensive, and they hit the spot!I’ve also ordered cocktails here several times and they don’t come watered down…and again, the price isn’t bad at about $7 per drink. And if you hang out at the bar, and even sometimes at a table, you meet friendly interesting people! And the atmosphere isn’t super touristy…but at the same time it is a tourist attraction…it looks and feels very genuine and attracts locals as well. The service can be a little rough around the edges, but that’s part of the charm of the Billy Goat! The staff is great at getting you taken care of fast and they are helpful when they realize you have a question…otherwise they like to cajole and playfully pick on the customers to give you the Billy Goat experience! Just try asking for fries or Pepsi and you’ll see what I mean!
Nice burgers for an after party snack. We had a blast with the staff at 1 am! And eat 2 burgers each (We were a party of 6)
