Excellent restaurant in so many ways. The service is spot on: very professional, efficient and attentive. I dined there late on Friday evening. They were busy, but because of enough wait staff and their good training, we felt we received plenty of attention. The food was truly divine! Packed with flavor and ingenuity. I ordered calf liver served on silky mashed potatoes surrounded by an incredibly flavorful sauce that highlighted bacon. I could have licked the plate clean – that’s how good it was! My friend had sauted skate served on parsnip pure. Another lovely dish. The place is pricey, but at least you will be paying for excellent food and great service. Highly recommend!
We’ve never had a bad meal here. I’m surprised to read that some people have. It’s not inexpensive, but one look at the menu would confirm that for anyone. My starter fav is the Bibb Salad. So simple, and the dressing is always perfect.Steak Fritte is always a good choice, classic Bistro. The Chicken is a hearty meal, make sure you’re hungry unless you plan to split it with someone. Mousse Chocolat for dessert unless you want something less rich. While we miss the short lived location on Southport, the State St. Location is a fixture that remains near and dear to our culinary hearts.
Great experience at Bistro Zinc. Enjoyed a lovely evening at Bistro Zinc. Classic french eats in a true Bistro setting with great service. Can’t miss!
Very good…great service. This was a fantastic restaurant. I went there by myself, on vacation, and had absolutely fantastic service and terrific food. The escargot was divine, and came with very delicious French bread. I ordered the pork Milanese that came with an heirloom tomato salad. It was tender, well crusted, and well seasoned. The service was exceptional, & I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Meh. Ordered the trout. I could have dried out my own unadorned fish in a toaster oven. Small, expensive pours of wine by the glass. Unimpressed.
Okay escargot, the rabbit taste like chicken and the sauce a little blah. Worst French meal I’ve had, try purple pig for a unique eat
Very mediocre restaurant, at least for lunch. First of all there were not many choices for the entries. Ordered toasted chicken and lamb sandwich. They were ok taste. Creme brle is not very good. Overall it’s a very average place.
