I love going to Portillo’s. The food is reasonable and delicious!!! I eat here a lot. I love everything. When I’m hungry and out and about, it’s my go to spot.
Fantastic dinner and service top to bottom. Staff and service are on point. High-level executed dishes complimented in a beautiful setting.
Very bad service. Mediocre food. Good setting.
My omelet had a weird gritty texture with the vegetables and was the farthest thing from a fluffy soft french omelet. This place was nothing to write home about. Definitely not a worthy $50 breakfast. But their presentation and service is outstanding
You can’t argue with youth. My son, age 8, now tells people the best breakfast is in Chicago. On a recent and our first ever trip to Chicago we enjoyed breakfast here. From the fresh ingredients to the waitstaff an A plus. We had to purchase a French Press when we got home because of how wonderful the coffee was. Sadly ours is not the same . Fresh pastry and delicious butter and preserves. And the simplicity and freshness of the grapefruit segments. Of course the pancakes and syrup were great as well. You know what they say out of the mouths of babes and mine says this place is the BEST!
Prix fixe not to be missed. Phenomenal modern French. Duck confit and flat iron steak were on par with my favorite bistros. Ordinarily it’s expensive, but on Sun/Mon/Tues there’s a 3-course, $29 prix fixe.
