Upstairs on 2nd floor of office building but a view of the water! Wonderful cheese and meat board with several options! I had the Eggplant Rotolo which was just enough and very fresh. Service was stellar!

Outstanding, attentive service and a menu of simple, fresh Italian food. The extra virgin olive oil which was presented with lightly grilled bread was outstanding. It is from Molise, Italy and was fresh and flavorful. I had a starter of arugola salad with citrus, peas, radish and parmiggiano cheese…very fresh with a lovely light dressing. The pasta with pork belly sausage was very tasty…I would have loved even more but it was actually perfect as I had room for desert. I tried the dark chocolate with sea salt gelato with an espresso macchiato…a nice finish to a very nice meal all for under 40$. Not bad for such a quality meal in my book. Try it. You’ll like it.

Amazing food on the Magnificent Mile. I have been to this restaurant during each of my visits to Chicago over the past twenty or so years — and the food has been consistently amazing. During my most recent visit, I took my wife, six-year old daughter and a friend of mine for a special occasion dinner. Our meal was certainly the most memorable one from this trip — each dish that we had was superlative. The service was excellent, the location perfect (we were staying near the John Hancock Tower) and the price reasonable. I will definitely be back when I next visit — our meal was a highlight of our trip.

Coasting on Gold Coast. A real disappointment. Chef needs to do more than just redecorate. Lackluster service, indifferent staff. Food rated only a C. Gummy Bucattini, under sauced. You can only live on a reputation so long. Clearly coasting on the Gold coast.

Wonderful lunch. We dined here, and had a wonderful experience. The setting is very intimate and well lit. I had the Estate salad. The greens were tossed in a warm balsamic vinagrette with beets and ricotta cheese. My wife had the Caprese. It was lacking the balsamic vinegar for the acidity. Entrees were the Wild boar gnocchi, and Manzo steak. The gnocchi was pillowy and warm, the boar was braised in red wine and very tender. My wife really enjoyed the steak and potatoes. We had the Zeppoles and complimentary tasting of gelatto and sorbets. The zeppoles were fresh and airy with cinnamon sugar dusting. The gelattos were the stracciatella and salted caramel, and the sorbets were the passion fruit and sour cherry, both.

Over priced, under delivered. Visited here recently and the only thing worth writing home about was the intimate table for 2 nestled into a window nook. It was memorable. The food and service were not.I started with the arugula salad. It was tasty, but the portion was tiny. My companion ordered the Crudo/yellowfin tuna and she was very happy with it. For my entree, I had Gigli, with clams and pasta. It was simply unspecial. Rather bland and again, I was hungry when done because the portion was so small. My companion ordered a meatball with a side of pasta with a basic red sauce. I don’t think the pasta was on the menu. She asked for a small portion of pasta and the waiter suggested he could provide this. Both the pasta and the meatball were simply plain and very average. So disappointing. For dessert I had the 3 gelato option choosing chocolate, mint and Stracciatella. The chocolate was very tasty and creamy. The mint was almost medicinal and the Straccitella was average.I would not recommend this restaurant.
