Because these folks are in the neighborhood, we opted to give them a second chance after a mediocre offering of Spicy Hunan and Crispy Duck on their first delivery attempt. Well, the second time wasnt the charm either yet another round of overpriced and flavorless classics. The Crab Meat Wontons ($5.95) featured NO crabmeat, or crab flavor, at all. Zero. Squat. Diddly. Just runny cream cheese flecked with green onion. Unfortunately, they were so soggy, the bottoms of the wontons were oozing out by the time they arrived with their bright red, sugary dipping sauce. The Shrimp Egg Foo Young ($13.95) arrived in two containers, the first crammed with three gelatinous, pale orbs of blanched flour and clear noodles, speckled with a smattering of green onions, and woven together by frying with a tiny portion egg these dense pucks were so thick they had to be cut with a knife. The classic thick, brown gravy associated with egg foo young was completely missing, replaced by a few ounces of a light brown broth in the second container that held a handful of barely stir-fried veggies and six pieces of large, but rubbery, shrimp. The Sesame Beef ($13.95) came as small slivers of brownish meat, still dusted in gooey cornstarch from not being completely stir-fried, and topped with a sprinkling of sesame seeds. The meat had been placed onto a bed of crisp white noodles, which arrived saturated in a greasy, yellow fluid by the time the food was delivered. The dish had none of the classic flavors they advertise on line specifically, sweet honey and hot peppers just a bowl of semi-fried meat nibs. The side orders of white rice tasted like boil-in-bag rice no flavor, not sticky, utterly bland. Even worse, the Chinese fortune cookies were stale and chewy. Cmon! Really?Once again, we were charged the standard $4.00 delivery fee AND the mystery $4.00 service chgs, which no one who answers the phone can seem to explain. Added all together, along with our standard 20% tip, we ended up tossing $50.00 worth of food and leftovers into the trash.Nope. Never again.
