  We started the meal with jam mules! Delicious house recipe, a must try! We had the smoked Gouda Mac and cheeseDevine! For the main course we had a huge kale and spinach salad with roasted grapes and Vinegarette, a fantastic burger, fantastic steak sandwich, and a porterhouse pork chops with delicious Brussel sprouts! Our waitress was fantastic! We had a issue with one item and it was corrected immediately and we were compensated for the error! Could not have been better! We visited and were not rushed!

  After back-to-back lunches and a pair of incredible brunch outings, it’s obvious this place is truly a hidden gem in Streeterville.Every meal -breakfast, lunch and dinner- should start with Chef Courtney’s #16 Biscuits! (Yelp members get a free sample just by checking in! $6) These little lovelies are tender, flaky and served up in a seasoned cast iron skillet with a sprinkling of crunchy salt on top – sadly, these are the biscuits my Momma thought she was baking every morning. Kick off your brunch with a wickedly spicy Bloody Mary from the bar or a simple mimosa with fresh orange juice. If you find yourself jones’ing for more biscuits, order up their monochromatic Biscuits and Gravy ($10) with a perfectly fried egg on top ($2) – they’re rich and creamy, with huge pieces of sage-scented sausage. The Mason jar filled with crispy tater tots is their best side dish for brunch. The four slices of Brioche French Toast ($13) are pillowy soft and served with a not-too sweet maple syrup.For a fantastic lunch, you really don’t have to venture past the shared plates menu – the Steamed Mussels ($13) feature pieces of andouille sausage and sweet nibs of corn on the cob, drenched in a buttery, garlicky beer sauce that you sop up with the crunchy toast teetering on the top. Their Calamari Fries ($11) are one of the more peculiar versions of the restaurant staple; these long, crazy-crunchy fingers of tender meat are served up with an awesome citrus aioli for dipping and a charred lemon half. You won’t believe the contrast in texture between the crispy crust and the meat inside! You can round out your meal with a lava-licious bowl of their Baked Gouda Mac & Cheese ($10) featuring smoky gouda, curly cavatappi macaroni and crisp bread crumbs. Wash that down with a boozy Copper Fox Mule ($11 – just $8 during Happy Hour) made with smoky mezcal, ginger beer, lime and basil – or my new favorite drink in Chicago, the Unfashioned Old Fashioned ($11), a masterful mix of rye whisky, orange and rosemary simple syrup, a dash of bitters and a drop or two of Tabasco. Truly an un-usual un-fashioned adult beverage!Always great, attentive service – never hovering. Stop by for a drink at the bar on your way out.
