This pizza is SO GOOD. so, so good. No offense to Chicago, but I like New York style pizza so much better. I’m a bit of a crust snob and I’m always looking for good slices with perfectly crispy, bubbly crust. Dough Bros nailed it. I tried the pizza made by Chef Matt Ayala that had heirloom tomatoes, burrata and prosciutto. It was out of this world. The slices are huge and I probably could’ve eaten 5 if I weren’t sharing with a bunch of hungry ladies. I will absolutely be back. The only downside to this place is the location. I don’t love River North, But I will travel for food!
Good find – hope they make it. My kids (teens) and I were searching all over River North for a slice of good late night pizza – from Dearborn to Wabash, from the River to Ohio. Someone finally suggested this new place, Dough Bros, on State just south of Hubbard. That block doesn’t have a lot of commercial on it and foot traffic is slow due to the State bridge being up during construction (summer 2014).I hope Dough Bros makes it despite lack of foot traffic. It was really good pizza (we had plain, mushroom, and spinach/artichoke between us). Decor was cute, and service was really friendly. And they have a frequent buyer program. Price was good too. Maybe they can pick up some business from the bar hoppers on Hubbard.Anyway, if you’re in that neighbourhood, check them out for sure.
