Very easy to pass up, but be sure you don’t!!! This little hot dog shop is amazing. There was a crowd of people ordering when we arrived (which is always a good sign). The line moved lightening fast. We got the Chicago dog regular, the Chicago dog charred, and a chilli cheese dog with onions charred. Each dog comes with a bag of chips and is very cheap. If you prefer to have a beer with your dog you can bring or order your hot dog next door at a bar.
Really bad counter service. Downtown dogs gets a lot of food tours now. They don’t care about your individual order. The last 3 times I was there, they got the toppings wrong on my dogs. On the most recent visit, I asked the counter guy to confirm that there was no mustard on the dogs he had just put into the bag. He assured me there wasn’t. He lied. This place simply isn’t worth the effort. The 20 hot dogs they made for the tour got precedence, so I had a long wait, bad service and incorrect orders.

Traveling and had to get an Italian beef and dog. Both were great and inexpensive.
Open late, super fast, friendly service. The dog was delish, the chips a pleasant surprise.
What a great dog; spicy, cheesy with a great pickle, fantastic.
