Firecakes! So cute inside and so yum. We got: Orange Poppyseed, Cherry fritter, Coconut Cream doughnuts. The orange Poppyseed was my favorite. We also ordered their double birthday doughnut and that was amazing!
Don’t miss this donuts place when you’re in Chicago!! The donut is freshly baked, even you can smell it before you open the door. Each donut beautifully decorated and definitely instagramable. Not mentioning the delicious taste. Super yummy..No space to sit, just order in the counter and take it away..
Such a quaint little bakery! I was so curious to visit it that I along with two other friends of mine traveled all the way from downtown to this place in torrential rains, and absolutely worth it 🙂 mouth melting donuts..all of them are equally good!
Melt in your mouth donuts. The old fashioned’s are the go to donut. I never visit Chicago without visiting Firecakes!
Delicious donuts – if slightly on the diabetes side of the sugar scale. I had a lovely pistachio donut which was an ogre green but didn’t particularly taste pistachioy. The lads had the classic buttermilk which was tasty and fresh and a coconut cream which was as good as the rest. Really helpful staff who are totally dedicated to the cause.

Visited over a weekend and I think I was still on a sugar high days later! So many great sounding flavors to select from so I will need to go back to investigate again. I bought a great selection box but did manage to share with a few friends.Thankfully the line moved quickly as it was pretty busy. Nowhere to sit inside so its a grab and go kind of place. Had that old fashioned feel both the shop and the donuts. nofixedabodeforsue.com
