When I travel through Midway I stop in here for the Holy Cow chips. Hot, freshly made potato chips topped with bleu cheese and served with Buffalo hot sauce. Highly recommended.
Gaylord offers Indian cusinie and is in the Magnificent mile. Easy to locate, parking may be an issue since it is in a busy streetThey offer lunch buffet which is priced reasonably. I and my friend wanted to do a take way and hence we could not taste the buffet dishesWe ordered Chicken and Vegetarian biriyani. Chicken biriyani was prepared nicely even though it had less salt. The chicken tasted fine and there were many chicken pieces. What was lacking – spiceDishes in the ala carte menu are generally pricey. It is worth a try however buffet may be a better option
Bad experience for me!!! Average taste…Dont get urself dragged here sensing it would serve u great indian food…The curry served was tasteless….ambience very dull and sadMay be not the right day for me!!!
awful food, awful atmosphere, awful experience. dried out breads and tasteless curries. i also live in the area so have tried it out multiple times but cant do again. service is disorganized but at least tolerable; manager there was so rude that its hard to imagine someone like that could be employed
The only reason I went there more often than I would have is because it is located in Gold coast place I called home for 3.5 years. Ambience is sad. Food is average to at best. Pricing is comparable to the other 2 fine dining options north of wacker so if you willing to walk a mile avoid. PS it has nothing to do absolutely with the Gaylord at Churchgate Mumbai. I checked.
Food was nicely decorated, good in taste but not great..Staff was nice.. I had lunch buffet and dinner Samosa chat was excellent.. Clean and nice enviornment
Reasonably priced and tasty. Being From Britain (where curry is perhaps surprisingly the national dish), my husband and I were delighted to be in a city with plenty of Indian restaurants to choose from.We first tried the India House, but it was closed for renovations, so we ventured to the Gaylord as a second choice, and weren’t disappointed. Our waiter was knowledgable about the menu, and gave us recommendations based on the heat or flavors we were looking for.To start, we shared the tasty samosa chat, a vegetable filled samosa accompanied with flavorsome chickpeas, and topped with natural yoghurt and a cilantro pure.My husband then had the chicken vindaloo, and I went for the Kerala fish curry. Both dishes were full of flavor, and my fish was perfectly cooked and tender, not stewed into oblivion as so often happens. We also shared a garlic nan, but the garlic was raw, so I found it too overpowering to enjoy. The portions were huge, which is a bug-bear of mine, and many fellow dinners were taking home boxes of leftovers, so if my husband and I eat here again, we’ll probably go for two appetizers and share an entre. The next time my husband and I visit Chicago we’ll probably try a few other Indian restaurants before going back to the Gaylord, but we have no hesitation in recommending it as a reasonably priced, tasty and casual dining experience.
