You walk into the store with free samples of their chocolate! The chocolate tastes exquisite! And it serves good quality ice cream and hot chocolate at a reasonable priced rate! Loved their caramel and sea salt hot chocolate!

Visited them for the second year consecutively and am bowled over by their salted caramel sundae. It is just what you need if you are an ice cream addict and have a flavour for salted caramel. The portion is huge. Have tried other I’ve creams too like cookie dough, vanilla and others and they are far better than any ice cream place. They have two outlets in Chicago and I ensure I visit at least one whenever I am in Chicago. I am a huge huge fan of theirs. Thankfully they even have a decent amount of seating space and they sell miniature chocolates too. Their pumpkin spice and caramel fills are just outstanding. My visit to this Gherardelli branch was limited to buying some chocolates back home. As usual I was greeted by the kind and smiley employee who offered me a chocolate square from the basket she holds. They have a huge selection of chocolate form all types and flavors. You can create your own bags or just pick from the already prepared ones. I must say I was surprised by the quality and taste of the chocolate they make. It is really good and can compete with the European ones. Prices are reasonable and service is fast.
