I have had lunch here a few times. The seafood is tasteless and not well prepared. The size of the portion for the price are sub par. And the service. Some of the worse in the area. The supply of drinks is slow. The tuning of food is poorly planned and you are waiting an excessive amount if time. Much better value for your money in the area.

The drinks and food were really good and the service was great! The atmosphere is what makes this place a happy hour gem. A bit pricey for my taste but all around fantastic.
If there is any restaurant in Chicago that screams brunch louder than the Hampton Social please let me know. Walking in you feel like you’re entering some kind of beachy pier side spot on the east coast. To be fair I’ve never been to the Hamptons but they did well enough with the decor to have me conjure up this association in my mind. Naturally, The menu focuses on seafood and there is a whole section devoted to lobster. That’s where we found the lobster blt. A good sandwich but not a great one in my opinion. The Belgium stuffed waffle was good too but not something I’d write home about. It’s entirely possible we picked the wrong things and need to go back though. At the end of the day, or the meal in this case, the ambiance and style of The Hampton Social is really what carries the day so I’d say it’s worth a brunch visit. euroatheart.com
Hampton Social was definitely an experience. My husband and I came here for dinner and I have to say I am looking forward to coming back here in the winter when I need a little visual pick me up from the cold weather blues! The service was great – very attentive and engaging. My drink was alright – to be fair, I substituted an ingredient at my server’s suggestion, but I should have known better. It was missing something and that something was tonic. But the beer selection was great and my second beverage was much better.We had the mushroom pizza – amazing. Really amazing. I will definitely be getting that each time. I had the fish and chips – the chips were the standout here. The fish was fine but slightly bland and I wasn’t a huge fan of the pink sauce, although I can’t put my finger on what I didn’t love about it. My husband LOVED it, so his fish and chip experience was much better. For his entree, he got the lobster roll which was delicious.
Loved the atmosphere! It’s very fresh and clean. A ton of natural light flood this large space and upbeat classic tunes are playing in the background. It is perfect for a business meeting, lunch date, or romantic dinner. Love drinking water out of a mason glass :)The staff were upbeat and personable. The GM stopped by and chatted for a bit.The food was good. Pepperoni flatbread was perfectly oven baked. Ingredients were well balanced and it seemed a higher quality of pepperoni was used than I’m used to. Flavors were robust. Smash burger was great if you are you in the mood for a greasy juicy burger. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely come back and order a new dish such as the scallops.
Stopped by near work with Alexander and Terrah! Later lunch! I’m starving… Going to go with the Pepperoni woodfired pizza. Terrah is going to have the smash burger. Wow!! Awesomely generous portions!! Thank you! : )Pizza is beautifully seasoned. Love the oregano. Burger looks fabulous and rich! Burger is very juicy and definitely has a unique charred taste with a spice I don’t recognize. However, there was also something I didn’t like about it. Can’t put my finger on it though. Fries are outstanding. Staff is very friendly. Overall, great experience.
