This is a very busy place with a confusing system. Orders are placed in one spot but depending on what you order, it can be picked up at different counters. There are also 3-4 menu boards, all with different items posted. I had a chicken panini which was great. The fries are typical crinkle cut and nothing special. My friends chili cheese dog was messy and fabulous. Get lots of napkins.
Late post, Great Meal on Thursday, 5/11, one of my choices, with fav, cousins, for my Birthday. Much much food. A grilled chicken skillet, I had the chicken and biscuit, and the buttermilk pancake breakfast was my cousin.. I enjoyed the home made preserve, the big and tender biscuit heated well the next day, the red skin potatoes and eggs were, sage chicken and have yourself a flavored Moscow Mule..
Hash House is a great place to go to get a belly FULL of good food! I first visited in Vegas a few years ago. We stopped in the Chicago location for a quick breakfast. Come hungry or plan to share because the portions are huge! All fresh creations and good service make Hash House a great place.
Seems overpriced til you see how huge the portions are. Nice little 5 table patio out front. Sadly they do not have white or sourdough toast, only rye and wheat.
The food is exceptional- first time I’ve seen meatloaf plated so artistically I wanted to take a picture of it and it rocked! Warm spinach salad was equally superb. Give this restaurant top billing on your list. I visited while in town for a conference and had the best meal of the trip
Very cool space. Big main floor with TV bar area, and space for 70 in the basement. Busy on a Sunday morning Lollapaloiza. Nice staff. Busy staff. The chorizo jalapeo hash rocked. Indiana style fried chicken, bacon, eggs, mash. Ahhh. With a little maple syrup reduction. HUGE portions. Share. Enjoy.
The food was fantastic, but the service kind of sucked. They were very nice, but messed up 2 of our 4 orders, one of them twice! First they brought out the wrong kind of sandwich, then they brought it with mayo, which my friend had asked them to leave off. Also the portions could feed a small family- definitely a sharing place!
