Terrific Belgian bakery. Actually, they call themselves bread crafters and they are serious about it. Peek into the kitchen and watch the baker work his magic. The croissants take hours and hours to prepare and are so worth the trip. Cozy little spot too.
Really good croissants with chocolate and other homemade goods. The Gruyere croissant was probably so much better than the sweet ones. Place is a tad bit too small and being July it was way too hot.
Gruyere Croissant was unbelievable. I’m plotting how many times I can go back before we leave the city. I’ll dream about upon leaving, I’m sure of it.
This bakery is one of the best places to grab a simple, but delicious lunch around Streeterville. They have so many unique authentic European treats and their hand rolled croissants are like no other. You won’t find that anywhere in the city. Their soup and sandwich combo is my favorite, but make sure to leave room for dessert! verdelicias.com
I am in love with Hendrickx. What a charming little bakery nestled in a quiet corner in Gold Coast. I have stopped in for the flourless chocolate cake, macarons, fresh breads, and quiches! Such a nice and different lunch option when in the area. The people working there are so charming, too. Love this hidden gem!
The place has a nice selection of a variety pf breads but is quite limited (pretty bad) as a breakfast option. I won’t be returning here for my breakfast… The french coffee is basically water and tastes horrible. I ended paying about $32 (me + 1) and left hungry.
Very good pastries and coffee. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. A must try.
