This relatively cheap bar is an after work spot for many of the local businesses and college students. There is nothing particularly striking about the place other than beer. I went for a birthday party, and the service was extremely slow. It took awhile to order, and it took even longer to get out drinks. The cheapest beer was $6, so it wasnt a steal. Most of the bar food was sandwiches and tacos, the rest of the menu dedicated to drinks. The bartender was very kind and helpful and our server was overworked with all of her tables. Though the staff was very considerate in arranging tables for the party, the service during the party was less than decent.
Two words: Happy Hour! This place has an amazing happy hour from 4-6 M-F with great drink and food specials. The wings here are plump, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Try the black bean hummus which has a bit of spice but nothing over powering. Another good reason to go is for the fantastic draft beer selection served in icy cold mugs.
This place was so fun! Great mixed drinks and beer selection. Nachos are to die for! The TVs are in great locations. Wish we could have sat upstairs but it was still fun!
Horrible experience!!!. I was at Hopsmith Tavern on a Monday night, to be exact May 4th, 2015. I ordered several round of drinks. The last round of drinks, I asked for a beverage without ice, and it was given to us with ice, therefore we did not tip that round. A few minutes later a female bartender comes to our table and asks in a very rude manner why there was no tip, we responded that due to the fact that we had asked for a drink without ice, and given to us with ice, all of a sudden she turns to us and gives us the middle finger in a very offensive manner. I asked to speak with the manager but to cover up this incident they sent an Africa American person who pretended to be the manager. I explained what happened, and he did absolutely nothing. This incident shouldn’t happen to anyone. Next day, we called to speak with the manager who is said to be EJ, and he told us he was going to take care of it, and to please accept his deepest apologies for this incident. The bartender obviously has no education what so ever, what she did was totally inappropriate. FYI we as a customers aren’t obligated to tip, especially for bad service. Hope this review helps and please think twice before going to this place.
