I need to come back here to enjoy their beautiful patio. Having said that the dishes we had were solid, well prepared, great flavors, and well presented. I can’t say it’s the best meal I have had but definitely good enough to come back. Had excellent banana bread beer, and my friends enjoyed their cocktails. Overall the environment is fun and lively. Recommended.
A great place to sit outside and play hooky on a gorgeous Chicago afternoon! Enjoy their craft cocktails and some of their American-flared handhelds. The prices are typically Michigan Ave., but the service, portion sizes and food quality are always spot-on. Kick your meal off with their golden, brown and delicious Gourmet Tots appetizer ($11), made with smoked potatoes, prosciutto and served with a truffle crme frache. They feature great burgers – all 8ozs, starting at a pricey $15- and one of the best, most flavorful house-cured pastrami sandwiches ($15) in town. The BBQ pork sliders and beef brisket are decent, but I find their sauce to be far too sweet for my North Carolina tastebuds. And most folks swear by their fried chicken sandwich. Sides include spicy coleslaw and olive oil parsley fries. And you cannot beat the beer selection at their massive outdoor bar – but watch out for their Ghost Pepper Bloody Mary – it’s a scorcher!
French onion soup was super sweet. Chicken wings were not good either. They tasted like they were cooked at the bottom of a charcoal grill the salmon cakes were just average
Near the Michigan / DuSable bridge. Fresh, tasty, well prepared and presented. Pork tenderloin, Ruben with house cured pastrami, and assorted Charcuterie app were all excellent.
The server we had was very awkward. We ordered the cheese curds and they were quick and tasted wonderful. We then got the fish tacos, which were just okay. The pulled pork was also just average. It wasn’t actually hot, and borderline of sending it back. The fries here are delicious. From previous experiences, I can also say the cheese board and the flights of beer are a hit!
Good beer list. This place has a very good and extensive beer list to choose from however the food was OK. nothing very fancy. Highly recommend making reservations for a friday or saturday night. The place was very noisy on a friday night but might be a little quieter mid week. still a good place to go on the magnificant mile when visiting chicago
