Wonderful location, food and service. Classic French menu, fabulous attentive waiters, great wine list and extraordinary food. We went for our anniversary and were very pleased. Definitely will return.
Had to try a Chicago Hotdog and this was one of the stops of the Big Bus. Extremely busy but they were quick. Got two hotdogs and a piece of chocolate cake for $10 which I think is reasonable for good food.
What a Treat. I’m a wino, with not much ability to distinguish between good and great food. I’ve never had better food and I know the wine selections, prices, and advice are tippy top. They almost always have a Champagne you’ve never heard of, by the glass, for start. I’ve always found these a treat.
Fine French cuisine at its best! This is not your ‘cafe style’/bistro dinner. Small portions with beautiful platings. Excellent service. Intimate setting. Had a couple surprise ‘amuse bouche’ from the chef that were devine. Reasonably priced five-star dining. Can’t wait to go to back!
Old World Elegance. Delicious food and ambiance, special and expensive but worth it.
The place is back on track. Great service to go with incredible food!20 Jun, 2010Food still the finest. Service HAS slipped. City of Chicago and Les Nomades should rid next door of Subway Restaurant….. ambience killer! Waiter should ask if you valeted so you don’t stand in line with Piano Bar folks down block……especially after $500 plus dinner for two! Decor is in need of cleaning. Again food worthy but service and little details very much missing.
The undiscovered great. While I have not yet done Everest or Trotters, I’ve always seen Les Nomades listed with them by folks who have. I now see why. The experience is very different because the place has virtually no attitude about itself. It has to be one of the most romantic rooms in the city because I saw two proposals in one night recently. Not that the decor or the food is overworked or predictable. It just has this vibe that yes, this is the sort of place where you would make big decisions about life over great food. Cuisine worthy of any other joint in town, but served by and in an environment of studied nonchalance. Effortlessly served, effortlessly enjoyed.
