Got there right behind 3 bus loads of middle schoolers on a class trip. Lines were long. They had people working the lines taking orders which saved time at the register. Excellent italian beef and charbroiled sausage and peppers sandwich (I don’t eat white flour however my grandson says the bread was quite good),side caesar salad, and Italian strawberry shortcake, yummy stawberry milkshake. Inside and outside seating
Celebrated my 21st birthday in Chicago and decided to bar hop with a friend, starting at Lizzie McNiell’s which was quite close to where I was staying. Warm atmosphere, good beer and good service.
Our favorite go-to Sunday brunch spot in our neighborhood. Order up a Dutch Mule ($12) and a Spicy Bloody Mary ($9) and watch the tourist wander along the Chicago River Walk. The outside seating is dog friendly and a great place to catch some shade and a cool cocktail on a warm day. The pub food is pretty straight forward, but the Italian Beef Sandwich is a real standout. The Pulled Pork Nachos are the size of a small infant and can easily be a meal for two or three people. Service is spot on, especially if you’re seated in Frank’s section!
