We were staying across the street at the Thompson and stopped by for a drink. The bar staff are very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. A few nights later, we met a friend for a drink and sat outside. I server, Susie, was fun, friendly, and very attentive.The support staff are very focused on making your visit comfortable. What a great location for very delicious handcrafted cocktails!
There are a few places everyone says you have to go to when you visit certain cities and if you come to Chicago one of the places in Chicago to go to is Portillo’s for a Chicago dog. They were delicious. It is cafeteria style, so grab a table and go stand in line to place your order and move down the line to pick your order up. They have various options but hotdogs were the most popular item on the menu.
