So my husband and I stopped in for a drink in early April before calling it a night. One and done we thought as we were to get up the next day and make it to the United Center for a morning Blackhawks game. Well, we started with an Absolut vodka martini and a whiskey sour. For the record, my husband has had whiskey sour’s everywhere and he declared this one the best whiskey sour he has ever had in North America. Of course, for two people who had stuff to do the next day, it was a rather poor decision to sit up at the bar instead of grabbing a table. When we sit at a bar we make friends. This visit was no exception as we ended up engrossed in conversation with a retired NASA scientist. Talk about a fascinating individual to bump into. So naturally we stuck around and one drink turned into…a few.The next morning was rough getting up to go to that game, but the conversation the evening before was worth it. A very nice lounge but if you have stuff to do the next day, be careful where you sit.
