Heard about this shake from Gabriel Iglesias and were in town and thought why not. The shake was good and I was glad the grilled chicken sandwich was as well. I figured it would be more touristy but the food and shake did not disappoint.
Good spot for a few beers, watch sport and down a few tacos with a side of Mexican corn. The service was good. I’d be keen to head back there while its a bit more crowded, and a little warmer!

Terrible Experience. I wanted to make a reservation for 5:30. I was told that time was not available – it would have to be 5:15 or 5:45. We showed up at 5:30 – and there was nobody there. Our drink order was wrong. The replacement drink for the one that was wrong didn’t show up for about 1/2 hour. We ordered Sangria and after the first pitcher we were told that they might have run out of Sangria. Really – at a Cantina – run out of Sangria? We ordered Queso Fundido. We asked for more tortillas. Never got them. I asked if they ran out of tortillas too – and our waitress told us she never asked for them. The margaritas were not good. The food shows up as it comes off the grill – not together. So, the six of us each received our food about 10 minutes apart. None of the food came out at the same time. The food was mediocre at best. We asked to split the check and told her a specific amount. She got it wrong. The wait staff just does not care. They are slow and do not get things correct. We paid a lot of money for very poor food, drinks and service. Never again.
I don’t know why people like this place so much. Prior to our dinner at Moe’s we had heard that it was THE place to be. However, we were extremely disappointed in all aspects of the dinning experience. Service: sucked…the server was rarely at our table, was completely put off when we asked her to separate our check, seemed inexperienced and like there were 10,000 other places she would have rather been, she also up charged all of the drinks with out informing the table or even asking for consent. Food: sucked…value was terrible…I mean we knew it was tapas but for the price, at least the food should be good…or at least have flavor. I could go on, but overall, I will not be back to Moe’s nor will I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Chicago. There are TONS of restaurants in the area…don’t waste your time going to Moe’s for a meal.
