Excellent sushi in a busy area with a laid back feel. I say that because within the mists of a block full of uptight dudes in suits and reservations only restaurants, Oysy was a nice change in pace. A Modern atmosphere had a combo of booths and tables. We tried a combination of both Japanese beer and sake to start off with. For dinner we had both small plates and sushi as well as new sushi appetizers. I highly recommend the grilled octopus in homemade hot sauce. The toro was excellent as well as the abalone nigiri. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Plates came out in a desirable order. One of the best parts was all the prices were very affordable, maybe even cheap for the neighborhood and quality of the food. Recommended.
Excellent sushi at ridiculously reasonable prices given the location. This is one of the best bargains for outstanding food in an otherwise very touristy part of Chicago.
The food is just okay. Looks pretty but not something really make you feel yummy about. I do Love the decoration and the presentation of the dinning experience.
Ate here twice while staying at the homewood suites next door! Tried bout 10 different rolls. Best sushi I’ve ever had.
Oysy is CLOSED. Please remove from your list. Michigan Ave / 9th St. location is closed. Attempted to go 2/16/2014. Supposedly a new sushi spot will open next month in the same location
