AVOID this place at all costs. I attempted to ask their employee, Greg, why they were closed prior to the times listed online . Let me be clear, I was NOT being rude or condescending when I asked (even if I had been, it would never justify how I was treated). Greg SNAPPED at me – you have a smartphone, why don’t you learn how to look stuff up online. I said, sir, I did, that’s why I’m asking. His response? No you didn’t. I said I did, unless I was looking at the wrong place, so I’m just trying to clarify. He then yelled in my face F*CK YOU and GO F*CK YOURSELF so belligerently one of his female coworkers came over to find out what was going on. He should be fired and definitely should be forced to attend some sort of anger management classes. Consider yourselves warned.
Food and ambiance great but server so miserable we felt bad for her, that is until it was almost time to give us the check then she seemed to cheer up – go figure!We enjoyed a platter of meat and cheese – you get to choose from a selection and when we asked our server for suggestions, she was not interested to help us at all. Not sure if the friendlier we got the more it irritated her but we were going to enjoy our experience despite of her bad mood.The place is always hoping and can be difficult to get a seat. The food and drinks were great so as long as we don’t get the same server on another visit we will gladly return for another go. nofixedabodeforsue.com
Liked the music and feel of this place , Great place to try the cocktails or champagne of course . Ordered some of the cheese , all three were good :especially the cheddar .
Pops for Champagne is a magnificent restaurant that sits in the heart of Downtown Chicago. Tapas and small plates with extraordinary cocktails, if ever near Ohio and State make it a for sure to stop in!
Food was excellent. Creative, well presented and delicious. Champagne was good but I don’t know squat about champagne. Bubbles were good with hints of rose and orange…see, I suck at this. Anyway, Wrecked the name of whatever champagne I ordered and appreciate the waiter not laughing in my face.
Every once in a while you have to spoil yourself and treat yourself to some amazing bubbly. This place has it all – the BIG Champagne houses, the smaller mom-and-pop grower-producers and just about any type of sparkling wine to fit your moment. The staff is very helpful and will guide you in the right direction when it comes to bubbly choices and differences. A little pricey, but a great vibe, and you’re worth it! cheapwinefinder.com
Great evening. Our first trip to Pop’s. We had a knowledgeable but not pushy server. Timely attentive service and good food. The Roderer 04 Rose, oh that was good. Okay, as snacks go, the fried cheese curds sound odd. Those were the perfect match.Plan to spend some money, but frankly we had a great champaign (a grower/producer) and snack and it was less than I had expected.
