Its a noisy place always busy that is known for its small plates of food – which is good for sharing or mingling or just trying a bunch of different food options. I liked their cured meat and sausages, pizza and meatballs.

Had lunch here during a layover at Midway. Busy place, short wait. Good food and service for an airport restaurant.

I had heard a lot about this place before I had visited and arrived with high expectations. We quickly found a small table in the middle of the room. Quite a lovely place, old Italian styling, and a slightly loud ambiance. We ordered the Gnocchi which is very famous here and found it to be great, a must-have item. Then ordered the spinach pasta (I forget what it’s called) which was slightly undercooked but the maitre d’hotel prepared another plate quickly and it was great. I will visit once again to try more traditional Italian fare such as the pasta and pizza and update my review.

Grown-up time it’s so much fun eatery is appropriate off of Ingram and Jewel road. there perhaps at one point some hold up time before you get the chance to eat it yet it merits sticking around for the yummy tasty sustenance

Our last food destination in Chicago was Quartino, an Italian restaurant suggested to us by a former student in the area. Luckily just a 5 minute wait brought us to our table. The place was big, but furniture was too cramped up. A woody, rustic feel, barrels and big round tables formed the decor. Seated on one of those round tables in a nice cosy corner, we ordered:GnocchiFettuccini AlfredoPenne Alla Vodka Burrata Sundried Tomato SoupEverybody was craving a good pasta. And we all had very high expectations from this place. We started off with the Sundried Tomato Soup. Even though I don’t usually prefer Tomato Soups, I really enjoyed this one. It was a little chunky and chewy, not the most appetizing to look at but it tasted really good. It was seasoned exceptionally well. Bread soaked in this soup was tasting lovely. This was my first time trying a Burrata Salad. It looked super cool, breaking the chunky sphere of cheese on the top of a bed of beet and leaves. I didn’t quite fancy this dish. Our mains were predominantly pasta. White sauce based Fettuccini Alfredo and red sauce based Penne Alla Vodka. Out of the two, I definitely preferred the red sauce. It was flavourful and spicy. The white sauce was way too bland for my liking. The most disappointing dish of the lot was the Gnocchi. We certainly didn’t receive what we expected. It was a basil flavoured dish. The Gnocchi pieces were hard and honestly it was no fun to eat this. Food – 2.5/5Ambiance – 3/5Service – 4/5Value for Money – 2.5/5Quartino is a place we will remember not for its food, but the exceptional service especially our server. We left feeling a little disappointed because of the high expectations we had from here.

One of the best locations in downtown for having food. I have to say that their service tops above all. Its just perfect. Though theres ample space inside the hotel (1+1 floor) but i would recommend to go for the outside seating arrangement. Its like one can have a complete feel of the downtown area.

Nice atmosphere, friendly server, extensive menu options, great food! We were looking for a spot to grab a late lunch after shopping. It was perfect! Three of us shared arugula pizza, fettuccine alfredo, beet salad and caprese salad. It was all excellent and the perfect amount of food. Reasonable bill too! silverspoonlog.wordpress.com
