This restaurant was recommended to us and was within walking distance of our hotel. Unfortunately we couldnt get a reservation, but decided to go anyway and see if we could grab a spot at the bar for a drink and a light dinner. We had a great experience, seemed to me they controlled the bar population so people arent over your shoulder ordering a drink. Service was very good as was the food. Would return.
Had the best lasagna!!!! Everything we had was amazing! The drink selection is excellent with plenty of cocktail and wine options. The menu has a variety of options and everything we tried was simply amazing. Great Italian dishes in a warm and fun atmosphere. Definitely recommend Siena Tavern and I will definitely be back!
Siena Tavern will be on our list of restaurants to go back to while in Chicago. The pasta choices are unique, fresh, tasty and filling. Five people who were all happy with our picks of pasta. The Siena salad is huge so one can be ordered for the whole table. Service is excellent, they all share in making your dinner experience pleasant from the hostess, waiter to the water boy. The reason I didn’t give a five star is it is a bit loud but not so much that I would not go back.
Excellent food, great service, wonderful atmosphere!!! Was the best food we had in Chicago. Would definitely come back and recommend to others.
A wonderful smell of truffle invades your nistrils as you come into the restaurant. The menu varies from very refined tasty salads and Gaspacho to beautiful saviry burgers andvtruffly pizzas and gnocchis…
Great place. Really casual feel. But really good food. The appetizers alone are worth going for. The ossobuco was fantastic. We had the private room for a special family function. The staff took great care of us!!
Im a huge Top Chef fan so I was pretty pumped when I heard past contestant Fabio Viviani was opening a place in Chicago. He partnered up with the Dine/AMIC restaurant group owners of Bull & Bear and Public House. Siena has a great vibe, hopping bar scene, outdoor summer seating, great food and excellent service. While everything on the extensive menu is delicious Ill give you my must gets. Coccoli, a fried crispy dough served with ham and truffle honey. Knock-your-socks-off good. Other stand outs: grilled octopus, Tuscan kale salad, shaved Brussels sprouts, truffle mushroom pizza, orecchiette with prosciutto sausage, spaghetti with jumbo lump crab and the brick chicken. Siena also followed the new food bar trend with a fresh mozzarella bar and crudo bar. End your meal with the bombolini, which in Italian probably means fried doughnuts that will blow your mind. As if the donuts werent good enough as is, you get 3 little bottles of sweet fillings that you can squirt into your donut. That sounded dirty. thebreadandbuddha.com
