It’s a busy place. Be prepared to wait. Aka leave yourself plenty of time. I had the blue cheese buffalo potato chips appetizer. Not the healthiest option, they do have plenty of healthy options though. It was excellent. That and a beer ( and an on time flight) I was very happy. Will go again next time at midway.
Drinks were excellent! Food and service were mediocre. They cared more about Larry Bird at the table next to us. Not impressed! I think there could be more courtesy to ALL guests than a former pro basketball player!! From appetizer to end of dinner it took 3.5 hours! That’s ridiculous! I understand it’s about the experience but not impressed at all! We’ve had way better dinners than tonight’s disappointment 🙁
Classic American Steakhouse. My husband and I celebrated Valentine’s day and my birthday. He had split pea and I had tomato bisque, both very richl and delicious. We both ordered filet mignon, rare plus, and the steaks were high quality and perfectly cooked; hard to say if I’ve ever had a better filet. Our sides were tasty root vegetables and a shared baked potato which included butter, sour cream, cheese and bacon crumbles on the side. Other than ordering too much food and stuffing ourselves to discomfort, every aspect of the dinner was wonderful, including the lovely river views. Oh, and they comped us a nice little chocolate dessert in honor of my birthday. Great experience.

Great Steaks. Smith and Wollensky for Christmas Eve was a perfect idea. Food was beyond great and the service was spot on. My idea of good service is when everything is taken care of yet you barely notice… And it was a happy place. Great ambience. Moreton’s last Chrismas eve was ambience and service disadvantaged. Yuck. S&W was just fun to be in! Cannot wait to return.
Busy busy place. Oh well, this place is located near the river, so the view is great. However, although there are many members working there, we could not get enough service that we should have. For example, you had to wait and call for your server for a glass of water at least 10 min since she works hastily. Overall, food was okay, we had seafood platter, and different kinds of steaks. Considering the price, food was not so excellent. But overall quality was okay. They have variety of alcohols also.
Good not great. Nothing overly special about this place, but food was good. Had the mussels to start followed by the filet with roasted cipollini and garlic. All the steaks we ordered were well prepared and good, but again nothing overly memorable. The whipped potatoes and asparagus were good accompaniments. Coconut cake for dessert was just ok. Great wine selection and view. Would come back for a special occasion.
