My Most Fav Pan-Asian place, so far, in Chi-Town.When I dine alone, I usually hog on two starters and I’m done with that.I chose the Chicken Satay and the Shrimp ShuMai. Versions of these two I’ve tried all over the world – and I can now safely say that I’ve found the best Satay dip, possible. Great Quantity. Licked the bowl clean. Perfect consistency. The right kind of peanut flavour. The chicken was tender. The Shrimp ShuMai was 12 bite sized portions neatly steamed. Decent buy.The lychees were delicious as well.Cost : About a lil’ over USD 20 for this.Bottomline : I’m going back to try two more starters and another dessert.
Thai restaurant located in Chicago city. You can not go wrong with this place. Their service is so quick, very impressive. Must try their pad Thai noodles. We ordered egg spring rolls, shrimp and veg tempura, chicken satay, pad Thai noodles, chicken and veg green Thai curry. Their green curry is a little spicy, better to inform them in advance regarding the spice level.
During the weekday lunch period, the restaurant was pretty busy. It was popular between the people who worked nearby. The service was fast and good. I quite liked the decoration using traditional hats and clothing. We ordered cream cheese crab Rangoon and shrimp Tom Yum soup to start with. The wonton skins was crunchy however I couldn’t find any crab meat inside it, even though the cream cheese filling was tasty! The portion of soup was big( good to share), tasted strong lemon grass flavor with little bit spicy, but too sweet… not the traditional soup I expected. For the curry, we tried the Mussaman curry as recommended with brown rice for healthier option(u can always order jasmine rice). The curry was thick with chicken breast meat, sweet potato, tomato and whole peanuts. It was not spicy at all with pretty sweet flavor. The dish was not mind blowing but smelled great, tasted not bad either. It’s a good place to grab a quick lunch if u r sick of sandwich or salad. 😉
One of my favorite thai joints in the city. Loved the panag curry with tofu and white rice. Very very reasonable price. Would frequently hang here with friends.
I recommend the curry fried rice with shrimp and the lychee martini. Both were delicious! This place will be my new go to when I’m craving Thai food.
This place has a good decor and very good wait staff. our waitress was very attentive and helpful when making food selections. good portion size and VERY good Thai food. I was not disappointed. The drink menu is very good as well. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the city
Wonderful atmosphere, apathetic staff.. I treated my wife for her birthday on a Friday night. We arrived around 9 pm and the restaurant was about half full. We appreciated and wondered at all the beautiful cultural pieces scattered around the space. We ordered crab ragoon, which we devoured (wonderful choice) and the spring rolls which we didn’t like much. (Cold and dry, drowned in thick sugary sauce) Service was rushed and inattentive. Our waitress didn’t speak much English at all and I had to point to what we wanted. My wife ordered lo mein with beef in garlic ginger sauce. Not enough sauce, meat was dry and tough. Noodles were overcooked and slimy. She at a few bites.I ordered the curry catfish. Beware the heat, but if you can handle it, beware all the bones. Not exaggerating here: bones EVERYWHERE. They just chopped up the fish and tossed it in. They took it back and I got the curry chicken shallot salad. Nothing spectacular but good enough for me.For dessert, we got lychee which we loved. A server other than ours tried picking up the tab before we finished our meal, very rude…2 out of 5 stars. Never going back again.05 May, 2015Lychee On Ice. Lychee was an oddity for me. I couldn’t distinguish whether or not it was a sea creature or a fruit! It was a sweet and crisp treat with delicious nectar on ice. (Add some nectar to the jasmine tea!)05 May, 2015Crab Rangoon. Crispy wonton is warm and crumbles away with every bite. The cream cheese is light and melted over soft crab flakes. Delightful!
