I stop over in midway almost monthly for layovers and my go to is usually Gold Coast Dogs because the wait for Harry Caray’s is usually too long. I finally got a table for 2 with no wait this past weekend and it was great! No wonder they’re always crazy busy! I had the chicken sandwich, thank you to my waiter who pointed out the chicken is rather tiny and only 4 oz and he could add a whole breast for an additional cpl bucks. I was in love with the appetizer…four cheese ravioli! They were fresh and tasty! Not too much sauce and we cleaned the plate! My sandwich was okay and my coworker had the hamburger and loved it. I’ll definitely make the time to stop in on my next layover! Worth the wait if you can still make your flight!
Little however sharp The Kelvin is the eatery/bistro inside the Renaissance in downtown San Diego. The sustenance and administration was great. I truly can prescribe the fish tacos, wonderful bit and delectable.
Asian fusion at its best! This contemporary restaurant is an ideal setting for a post-work dinner with your coworkers, a weekend dinner catching up with your friends or even a venue to host a birthday at! The menu is extremely vibrant with classic Asian fusion dishes and some interesting new ones that you’ve probably never heard of before. Add it to your bucket list if it isn’t already there and make sure you call ahead to make reservations since this popular eatery usually faces a long wait time! P.S. Must-try: Manchurian cauliflower (to-die-for)!
Visited Chicago recently and really left impressed with this place. Very unique menu with elegant complex flavors. The octopus was delicious and the beef lollipops left us wanting another order. So glad we tried Sunda!
Worst place ever, they don’t understand the asian foods and culture ever. The concept of ‘fusion’ doesnt mean ‘low quality ambiguity’ .The owner of this place also shld check the freshness of food ingridients. Go only if you enjoy the interior.
Say what you want about Rockit Ranch, but I LOVE Sunda. I think this place is on a whole different caliber from their other establishments. I haven’t tried a single thing here that I didn’t love, but the #1 stunner is definitely the brussels sprouts salad! Pro tip: They offer weekday lunch specials for $8.88, which is a price you can’t really beat for great food in River North. PS – don’t order the mochi dessert, it is literally the exact same thing you can buy at the freezer section of any grocery store.
I’ve been sitting on my hands and phone to write this review for over a week. Why? I wanted to not write it while still feeling the disappointment and regret while the emotion was fresh. I can’t say much bad about the food itself, the miso soup was so bland that I didn’t finish it, that’s a feat. The drink was good and strong. Worth it. The hand roll was very alright. With a strong recommendation from the server I ordered it. Not at all worth the cost both in terms of size and terms of flavor. The fried chicken bento box WAS good. It was really quite good. It was a good way to end the meal.My low rating (would probably be a 3.5ish otherwise) comes from the service and experience we struggled with. How does a lunch take 2+ hours on a Thursday? How do you run out of glasses for 45 minutes when someone orders a simple lemonade (that turned out to be minute maid anyways)? Where did our waiter keep disappearing to for large swaths of time leaving us alone and confused when needing service?Perhaps the dinner experience is better, but I don’t think I’m going to find out about it anytime soon.
