Came with my girlfriend for a great dinner, the servers upstairs were great and this not the reason why i am giving them such a poor rating. but my friends and i as French black women were mistreated there the security guy attacked me saying that my group was speaking our language saying something bad to his staff. the way he talked to us, i am not sure if it was a race thing . I do not want to be one of those people that say things like that . but it was obvious, I am not from America i have never experienced something like that, the guy made me cry. that was crazy. I kept asking him what did i say in my language that insulted his staff so i could apologies anyway to her even if though i know that i did not say anything just trying to be the bigger person. But he continued to be rude to me for no reason and still did not tell me what i had said . That was not a good way to be treated.
Superb place…. Especially summers brings out the best of this place.Seating arrangement’s especially on the sidewalk area of the hotel are awesome.Their location is just awesome too.
Across the road from my hotel and on the corner so a great busy spot to enjoy the views…. a massive range to select from – burgers to steaks… had the angus burger which was magic..a very nice place to eat
Great place to have brunch. Lot of options and great food. Loved their black coffee and chicken strips. Their omelette menu is impressive. Definitely a must visit place
One of the best Restaurant I’ve been in downtown Chicago!!! The delicious dish of Porc chops with mashed apple Honey sauce is really a WAW !!Great atmosphere & Great staff ! Highly recommend it if you ever stay in Chicago!
What else can be said other great than great food, great atmosphere, great drinks? This place is amazing! The outdoor seating area is great for a relaxed meal and the bar area is always fun. One of my favorite Chicago spots.
Had a relaxed lunch in the Tavern’s beautiful upstairs dining room. The server was bright, informed, & accurate. Caesar salad near perfect. House made chips very good. Lobster gazpacho quite fresh but just too much tomato. Grilled cheese would’ve been improved w/ nearly any other cheese besides Brie, to complement the fresh condiments. Recommended but not overwhelming.
