No matter what you get its going to be incredibly well-prepared and delicious.If there is one thing to get though, it’s the lobster mac and cheese:) A friend had told me it was the best in the city and I am telling you don’t go here if you’re on a diet.I don’t love chocolate cake but their flourless chocolate cake was the best chocolate cake I have ever had! Worst service ever for a restaurant of it’s apparent class.
This the first time I’ve ever posted a review about a restaurant. My experience at Capital grill was very disappointing. Let me start by saying our waitress was awsome. If it wasn’t for her I would have walked out in the middle of dinner. The guy at the front desk I think he was the manager was so arrogant that I couldn’t wait to leave. The food is not what you would expect for a high line steak house. If your looking for a good steak place go to Gibsons. If your looking to pay top dollar and get treated like garbage go to capital grille. I think mr big shot manager should quit and do everyone a favor. That would be the best management decision he has ever made.
LOVE IT!!!. If you plan to dine here ask for Paul. He’s the most attentive, informative waiter at the Capital Grille in my experience. I truly enjoyed my Clam Chowder soup, Shrimp Cocktail and Delmonico Steak with sauteed Spinach. He was attentive when my wine glass was low. He checked on our table frequently and asked how we liked the meal. I felt like I was his personal guest. For the quality and service this is well worth the money. src
Steaks – outstanding Atmosphere – perfect Service – best there is in Chicago Attention to detail of the likes we have never received before while dinning at other chop houses in Chicago. We’ll be back:-)
We were really impressed with our food and our experience here. We were trying to keep our travel budget slimmer than this restaurant, but we happened in here because we were starving, and it turned out to be one of the better experiences of our day. The service, drinks and desserts were excellent, and we can particularly recommend the swordfish and crab and lobster stuffed shrimp.
I know it’s a chain, BUT exceptional steaks and atmosphere to boot. Sit in a booth and do not miss the lobster mac and cheese. Have a couple of Martinis and creme brle for dessert and smile when your $200 check arrives. It was worth it!
