The BEST Bloody Mary I’ve had in ages!
Perfect place for a game. Of all the bars and sports bars downtown, Theory is by far my favorite. It’s the atmosphere of a neighborhood sports bar with the appearance of a River North Lounge. The management staff is amazing, and personable on a level that I’m yet to experience anywhere else in River North. It’s the perfect spot for happy hour or to catch a big sports game. The private back room is pretty sweet as well.
Great happy hour on Wednesdays! I got 2 bottles of wine for $25! The food was tasty & our server was fantastic-helpful, and found a hockey game for my party that was for an out-of-town team that we wanted to watch. It was a fun place and I want to go again.
Very Good Lunch Spot. I came here with no expectations since I had never really heard much about the place. I had the pesto panini and tater tots. The chicken on the panini was cooked perfectly, and the pesto was delicious. The tots were good but nothing special. I’ll have to try this place again.
Bad start, great finish. I visited Theory tonight and had mixed feelings. I sat down at a table by myself and was brought a water, but then no one came in the next twenty minutes to get my order. Meanwhile, a large group at the group of tables behind me started growing larger, so I moved to another area of the restaurant that was less crowded. I then continued to wait another 15 minutes before I stopped the server that was working the nearby party room so that I could place my order. After that, everything was great. That same server continued to stop by and ask how things were and refill my water. My food came super quickly and it was absolutely delicious even for it being so simple as the Cali with fries. There was a wonderful sweet spice on the fries that was mostly at the bottom of the cup that gave a completely different satifaction to them. So I definitely say give this place a try. I may have gotten lost in the crowd being by myself but the food was definitely worth the wait.
Great Food. I received a coupon offer through a daily Groupon and since it was a good deal, I figured I’d give it a try. Great location, close to work and great food! A nice selection thats sure to interest anyone. Enjoy!
!!AWESOME!!. My friends and I went to Theory for drinks and dinner and had a great time there. The food is absolutely the best and not over priced at all. We all ordered a bunch of stuff from the menu and shared it family style. The chef him self came out and bragged to us about the ribs as we were ordering. He even said he was going to buy us the ribs if we didn’t think it was Chicago’s best!! Wow … that’s a bold comment we all thought. So we ordered a round of ribs and ended up ordering another one!! And guess what? The chef didn’t have to buy either one of those 🙂 The music is good and they take out the tables to make it into a dance floor after dinner time. The service was also very good. We didn’t have to wait long at all for our drinks. The wait staff is very friendly. My friends and I are going to go back to Theory for sure.
