Great Experience. My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience. We had the Grand Collection tasting menu with the wine pairing. It was pricey but very good. All the dishes were delicious and rather original. The wines were very good. Service was excellent! I would reccommend for a special occasion romantic dinner with that special someone.
A special place that matches Paul Bocuse or any other grand French restaurant in taste, creativity, and service. Should not be missed.
A Tru delight!. Tru is truly wonderful! From the moment you step into the restaurant (its location is not obvious!), you are treated with dignity and there is not an ounce of pretense. A collection of open, high-ceiling rooms, it is a great place not only to dine but to watch others as well. That is, if you can take your eyes off the superb wine list. The offerings are exceptionally broad and deep and a pleasure to read, again and again. But once the courses arrive at the table, your eyes will have but one focal point. You see, the food is not only exquisitely prepared, it is a joy to behold. From the tasting menu, I could praise each dish we had that night, but suffice it to say, it was the best meal I have had in Chicago. One dish in particular, though, was so memorable for it’s beauty and flavor: delicate gnocchi in a light broth, tucked under a lattice made of veal stock. It was a striking and divine creation, Tru-ly too beautiful to devour. I did take a picture of this and perhaps I will post it one day. Magnifique! Treat yourself to Tru and pleasure yourself with the tasting menu; I guarantee, it will be an unforgettable night.
Special Place. Tru is one of our favorite restaurants in the windy city. We have celebrated wedding anniversaries there as well as a number of business dinners. The food is phenomenol and the service impeccable.

Awesome!!!. This was the best service, beautiful atmospere and GREAT food…. also some of the most expensive food I’ve ever ate… but simply divine to my taste buds. Every taste was perfect.
