I love this place. I’ve made an ass of myself (surprise!!!) drinking here after a metal event at Kuma’s where I may have won an album for a band I’d never heard of and given it to my friend where we ended up here with the lead singer that recognized me and I had to recant this story…So, yeah, great bands/musicians come here that I truly love, and they always sound amazing. Plus, the crowd interaction is great and I hope the artists love that element, too. And I saw Bob Nanna here and he sang a song about his cat that seemed to kill everything around it, and I named a kitten that died after Hey Mercedes, so…you know…*cries*No, seriously, one of the best musical venues in Chicago.
The weekend brunch is delicious. I’ve gotten the steak & eggs and empanadas and loved both of them. Often only one server/bartender working the brunch but the service is still great. The drink selection is fantastic: Two Brothers, 3 Floyds, and Lagunitas -to name a few. Also a great place to see a show in the evening.
