OMG! OUTSTANDING food!!!!!!! Fantastic beer selection, courteous-fun-friendly staff, amazing food, and classic classy Irish pub ambiance! 100% recommend to out if towners (do NOT miss this place, best overall dining experience I’ve had in Chicago in years!) AND to locals!!! If I’d lived in Chicago I’d be making a stop at Murphy’s Bistro weekly!!!! Thank you Murphy family for this incredible addition to the bar/resturant world!!!

First time to Murphys. My niece lives around the corner and I have visted her several time. We went to the Ribfest today and tried their ribs they were great. BUT THEN WE WENT TO the restaurant for a beer, expecting to have some nice friendly Irish hospitality well that is not what we recieved. The bartender with the slugs in his ears was so unfriendly and to me rude. I will never go in there again, I don’t know who owns this restaurant but obvioulsy not Irish. I have never written a review on a restaurant before but I just couldn’t stand the bartender.
Great service, very attentive. Corned duck with crispy Brie was a perfect appetizer. If I lived in Chicago…this would be our go to place. Very interesting menu.

The food was good, beer menu delicious, service very helpful. Tuesday night not the best crowd but I see how it can get lively. The biggest downside is The value on some dishes. You get large portions but overall cost seems high. Unique place, just won’t rush back for the dining experience.
Great Food, Beers, Service. Really love this local gem. The Shepherd’s pie is really delicious, but then again, I’ve never eaten anything there that I didn’t love. Good selection of wines and great beer list. Love the decor but most of all the friendly and accommodating service keeps us spending our hard-earned lucre here.
