He blogging community in Chicago is incredibly friendly. Even though I am one of the founders of the Windy City Blogger Collective, I love going to other blogging groups events. Recently I have attended some lovely events hosted by the Chicago Food Bloggers, which is a group that was founded last year. These events are fun because we are always fed well, and sometimes I even discover a new restaurant. I have also met some new friends at CFB events.In February we met up at Pizzeria Serio in Lakeview at 1708 West Belmont. This new pizza place is seriously good (see what I did there?). I am picky about my pizza. I want it to have a thin crispy crust, fresh toppings, and a large variety of toppings. Pizzeria Serio generously let us try several of their salad and pizzas and I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we loved every bite.Pizzeria Serio has several pizzas on their menu, and they give you the option to build your own pizza. The pizza below is the margarita with artichokes added. Artichokes are my absolute favorite pizza topping, and I get disappointed if they arent on the menu. Pizzeria Serio passed this test!We had a great time at Pizzeria Serio and I hope to visit again next time I am up in Lakeview. thekittchen.com
