Awful food. If you look for a peak event in your gourmet life, don’t miss out on this jewel! We were at Revolver several times but our visit on October 13 was special! We stepped into Revolver and had it all for ourselves, no other customers. They run a real lean business, no candles in the not so romantic candle holders, and the menu was printed with half empty ink cartridges, some lines were missing. It seems they really run a tight ship, we ordered sparkling water – but they have no sparkling water! Probably run out of bubbles – which bar or restaurant has no sparkling or still water?! My wife surrendered to a soda pop. I ventured for a gin and tonic to celebrate our anniversary … but I couldn’t really find the gin in the stale tonic and all the ice.The menu has less options than a fast food chain … and that is a good thing ! I ordered the Revolver burger – assuming the house burger is the crown jewel of the menu and a Shopska salad. My wife ordered a crepe with spinach, mushrooms and mozzarella. I received the worst burger I ever laid eyes on, no salad leaves, no tomato, no dressing -another good thing about this burger – and the meat was half cooked and the texture was somewhere between cardboard and a wet lukewarm sponge. Interestingly, the bun was wet, I don’t know from what !? I probably dont want to know. The fries looked good, but the aftertaste from old frying oil spoiled the experience. Unfortunately I didn’t had much of a lunch and took too many bites of the burger and the fries until the reality kicked in ! My wife’s crepe was taste wise good, but lacked about 50 degrees of temperature. My salad was ok, but my recommendations for the Guide Michelin were already postponed for a century, it didn’t matter that much anymore. This place is an insult to my tongue, my stomach and my wallet. I struggle to understand why this place isn’t closed for good by the FDA! Even chef Ramsay would throw his towel or even throw the pots and pans at the so called chef of Revolver. It was a peak experience in terms of insulting us and stealing our money !I rather donate my money than throw it out the window or at Revolver.
