So my tween daughters wanted to go here for dinner and usually that means im gonna have too little to eat and too much bill. Wrong wrong wrong. What a great spot. I had lasagna, filled with pieces of italian sausage. So good. Kids had Waldorf salads. Looked great. Everything chopped fresh. But the kicker for me was the kickass coffee. Goin back tonight.

Little gem in a food wasteland. So glad we found this place for brunch! We lived in Chicago for years and the southwest suburbs are at best home to chain restaurants – and frequently not very inspired ones at that. So we were extremely glad on a recent visit back to find Blissful Banana. The food was very fresh and flavorful, great waitstaff and cozy atmosphere – and they have good vegetarian options (which also tends to be sorely lacking in the southwest suburbs). I had the design-your-own egg and bagel sandwich, for which our waitress,Sam, happily accommodated a request for an item that wasn’t even on the list. They have a fabulous selection of hot and iced flavored coffee drinks and lovely homemade blueberry muffins. Don’t expect anything really off-the-charts eclectic, but compared to everything else in the area, this wins hands-down. Next time we visit our relatives, we’ll be back!
