The gyros are good. Ive only had the standard Gyro but they do have pork and chicken as well. The only thing Im not a huge fan of is that it is pretty pricey. I stop if Im really craving a gyro though.

Poor quality Gyro 3/1/14. I’m the opposite from the reviewer earlier. I’d rather eat at Kosta’s than Giggy’s. I’ve been to Giggy’s several times to order the Gyro and each time the meat has been dry, very dry. I keep thinking the Gyro will get moister the next time I’m in but I guess they’re just not that busy to refresh the product fast enough like Kosta’s is. Also, and this is just me, I prefer the onion and tomato on top of the Gyro meat. Giggy’s onion and tomato is under the meat, lost on top of the pita but under the meat. I prefer my garnishes on top of the meat but that is just my preference. Maybe other items on the menu are good, I don’t know as I only get the Gyro and fries. The fries always seem to be good. The owner seems very nice as do all the employees that have that have completed my order. Prices are good especially for the Gyro special where Gyro’s are $3.99 each. Problem is I won’t pay $3.99 for a bad Gyro. I’m in that mall 3 times a week and won’t order a bad Gryo even if it is cheap. Why ruin my lunch/dinner?

Too bad, I really want to like this place. The folks that work here are very nice. But, the food is just ok. Not bad but not great. Beef is not made in-house so not much reason to order it Gyros are the attraction here but I found it to be overly salty. Still, I’d rather eat here than kosta’s.

This is my favorite place for gyro and fries..the owner(Sam) is most always there and always has a warm greeting. Other favorites are tuna melt, beef, and chicken and rice soup (served on Saturday). If you’re looking for a good gyro in Palatine, stop by.
