This is the go to place for the best gyros in town. Generous portions of meat and veggies, authentic sauce. The onion rings are real onion rings with a light batter,, not the chopped onion heavily breaded ones served elsewhere. Their hamburger is grilled to perfection and delicious. Served with lettuce and generous slices of tomato and onion, and just the perfect amount of mustard and mayo.
This is the only place I get gyros in the northern suburbs, and for good reason! Kostas has been around for years and is the known Greek joint in the area. Their portion sizes are massive with a price you can’t beat. The staff has been working there for years and really does their best to make the service quick and friendly, the customers always coming first. Their gyros are absolutely outstanding-enough meat for two! Their chicken lemon rice soup is delicious as well. All their Greek specialties are good, so I usually stick to them. Still, they have hotdogs and cheeseburgers for the non-Greek food lover. Every time I’m in the area, I have to stop at Kostas for a gyros!
Good place. Absolutely the best gyros for the last 20 years, well except for that place on Division St. across from the Jewel that when, at 4am they offer your drunken self 2 for 1 Gyros which are AWESOME. But for here in the burbs they are the best. They are busy often so you’re getting fresh hot gyro meat, not like that place on nwhy, Giggy’s. I often go there and get dry gyro meat, thinking one day it might change. I’m not that smart I guess. Try Kostas you’ll be happy.
Suburban mediocrity. I think that I ordered the wrong thing. Do not get the beef!!
No one does Gyros better than Kostas. Hands down #1. I could eat there everyday.
