Awesome. This place is old school mexican. One of my many stops in Palatine. The salsas are both pretty good.Give it a try. Cant think of a better place in the area.Good rice and Beans. i could live off of them.
Wonderful restaurant. Great food, very clean, excellent service my wife & I eat here once a wee.
Good food. I had the Enchiladas Rancheras and it was fantastic! The service was perfect and my drink never went empty. A bit Americanized, but otherwise a very good Mexican place.
Disappointed!. As a long time resident of Palatine I know this is a popular place. Frankly, I have no idea why. At least not if you have experienced good, authentic Mexican food. My wife and I tried this restaurant some time ago and were not impressed. Tonight we decided to give it a second chance. Once again we were extremely disappointed. Our order was prepared . The food is bland. A taco kit prepared at home would have been a better dinner. My advice is to go somewhere else…even if it’s Taco Bell!
Excellent!. The food here is just amazing. The new specials are mind-blowingly delicious. I can’t get enough of the fish tacos or the ceviche. The a la carte menu also features some great choices like the tacos barbacoa and tacos chicharron. If you’re a fan of menudo, this place serves the best menudo I’ve had (although it’s hard for me to stomach it nonetheless).I’d stay away from the more ordinary tacos (steak, beef, pork, chicken); for some odd reason these tend to be very bland and plain (topped with lettuce and a slice of tomato, no seasoning on the meat).
My favorite place! I always get the chicken taco dinner and eat half the next day. The beans and rice are yummy. People are friendly. It’s small and often crowded but it doesn’t matter – the food makes up for it!
