Crazy, loud, crowded – but the best breakfast place I’ve found in Chicago!
Great place. Stopped by he restaurant while visiting in Chicago, excellent customer service. I had the patty melt, it was one of the best I have had. They came by to check on me multiple times which was great and so unlike other restaurants. Seem like a great family place, a large family came in while I was there and it was like being at home when the family comes in. Would highly recommend this place.
Lost Touch with Clientele. I’ve been going to Mac’s for possibly 25 years. I think the present management has lost touch with the clientele. Prices have rise out of the reasonable range. It seems like quality of ingredients has declined. The straw that broke the camel’s back for me was the Denver omelette with 4 small pieces of ham, 3 pieces of green pepper and hardly any onion. I’m meeting more and more former Mac’s customers who are really upset over prices.
Best lunch counter in NW Chicago. Simply the best! Great breakfast, including ham off the bone and hearty hash browns (extra, but worth it). Great lunch! They are known for their tuna salad sandwiches. I like the turkey club the best. The service is FAST and friendly. It is small, mostly a lunch counter. And it is only open for breakfast and lunch. LOTS of regulars from Park Ridge, so it has an authentic neighborhood atmosphere. If you enjoy a good homemade lunch or breakfast, you simply can’t miss Mac’s!
Great breakfast. I have always loved this restedaunt. They serve very good breakfast, and the service is always good. They cook in front of you, if you sit at the bar instead of the tables. It’s just a simple cafe, and I reccomend this to anyone who wants a good breakfast. 4.5/5
