My kingdom for a little seasoning. The menu promised a lot and didn’t deliver. Beautiful descriptions and great ingredients, but everything we tried was very bland. It was very disappointing. Each dish was so close to be great, but just wanted a little seasoning. I don’t mind paying more for exceptional food, but the food did not match the prices, sadly.
Hands down best restaurant in rockford. When you start out with one of the most talented, food-passionate chef/owners it is hard to go wrong. even the staff get excited about the food and the wine, and it is refreshing to go somewhere that people know what is on their menu and how to pronounce it. the best fine dining experience in town and the talent of the staff shines every time.
Too Little Too Late. We had a couple friends brag about how good this palce was…food was average, small portions…it is a tapas restaurant, but it was way too expensive for what you got. Service was slow and the help didn’t seem to know anything about the menu. I would NOT recommend this place.
Brio is my favorite Rockford restaurant. Their martinis are fantastic. Their food – extraordinary. It is all about quality. Be advised that it is tapas, so the plates and servings are small. We first went over the summer and ate out on the patio. Beautiful and perfect! The next time we went, it was during the week and we ordered the Chef Tasting, which means the chef gets to prepare whatever he feels like. It was 4 courses of heaven. Not a cheap place to eat, but worth every last dime. Ambiance is classy, staff is attentive, knowledgeable and helpful, food is out of this world. Oh! And make sure you check out the bathrooms.
Excellent. I had an excellent time at brio two weeks ago. It started out great the had my favorite types of wine there and one of the best tuna I have ever had. The dining was different then any other type in Rockford which I loved. I will be back again and again.
