Best deep dish in town. If you want deep dish pizza in Rockford, this is the best I’ve had. Our family from out of town, always request Giordanos deep dish pizza. I like Linos and Capri’s thin crust pizza better, but neither of these offer delivery. So, if I don’t want to go after it, this is where I call (we live pretty close by so they deliver in our area.) Don’t get me wrong, the thin crust pizza is great, infinitely better than the large chain pizza places, but I like cheese, sausage and shrimp on my pizza and they don’t offer shrimp anymore.
I was hearing wonderful and amazing things about this place, so had to go check it out. It was good (not fantastic), the service was mediocre and the atmosphere ok. Guess I’ve been spoiled by going downtown for great pizza. It was NOT bad, just not as great as it’s cracked up to be.

Good Pizza. I can’t complain about the pizza because it’s good pizza and has been both times I’ve been to (any) Giordano’s (we don’t live in the Chicagoland area, so we’ve only been to Giordano’s twice now). However, our server’s shift ended between when we ordered and when we got our pizza, and she didn’t bother to tell us that she was leaving or introduce our new server the way I heard another server do at another table.
Deep Dish is Tremendous!. This is where we take all our out of town guests when they want to experience the famous Chicago deep-dish. I have eaten at three so far: two in Chicago and one in Rockford. Al three are equally wonderful.I live 30 minutes away from the restaurant, so I knew there was no way delivery was an option. But it is certainly worth the drive. Beats Lou Malnati’s and Pizza Uno hands down!
