Friday fish. Love fish at giovannis, some of best. what I don’t like is while they raised fish dinner $3.00 is no problem, they now charge $2.00 each for bread, That amounts to a $5.00 increase.
Disappointed. Service was extremely slow. it took forever for our drinks to come. About twenty minutes for the bread to arrive, which was a basket of hard hockey pucks. More slow service, then the food. The baked cod was okay. The steak was smokey flavored…just okay. It was so cold in the dining room and I noticed a woman at the next table ate with her coat on. Not worth the money. I will not be going back. Sad to see such decline restaurant quality.
Forgot to add that the price is not $10-15 per entree It is $20-30 per entree08 Mar, 2013There are no gluten free and vegan options like the listing stated. Contacted the restaurant and asked if they can do gluten free or dairy free. They said yes just ask server. When arrived told we can check on gluten free and had to come up with 1 dish because the cook had done it once before. Not prepared to do gluten free by any means.Service ended after 4 other tables came. We were one of 5 tables occupied and no one had decent service. Finished meal had plates taken away and still had to wait over 15 minutes to get the check. Again with only 4 other tables occupied.Never again. If that isn’t enough to discourage, we arrived 20 minutes after they opened and the salad was stale
Food is over priced. Bartenders are not knowledgable with cocktails and poorly made. bar is long over due for a facelift. Smells musty. We went on a weeknight. The art work on the wall felt very morbid
Missed Opportunity. We stopped in for dinner at Big Al’s. It was not very busy and we took a booth. Our waitress brought us menus right away and when we asked for a few minutes simply disappeared. We watched her wait on others for 15 minutes and she NEVER came back to our table! We were ready to order and thought that she was coming to our table but she instead stopped at the one NEXT TO US which was not her customer and spoke with him, cleared his dishes and disappeared yet again. Spots opened up at the bar so we moved there. She did not even acknowledge that we left the table. It was clear that she had no intention of waiting on us it felt like. Dinner itself was great. We enjoyed our salads and entrees. I highly recommend the Jambalaya as it is the closest to true flavor this far from Louisiana. Staff could spend a bit more time checking on customers but we were happy with the bartender who at least paid attention to us.If we come back we’ll sit at the bar so that we will get service!
Great wood fire pizza. We sat outside at Alchemy. We had a steak fajita pizza and another with bleu cheese, arugula, pears, candied pecans and steak. They were both wonderful. Their mixologists do well and give you a creative offering of cocktails.
Nice place. Great pizza, bad nachos.
