My perfect ideal of a hole in the wall pizzeria. I’ve never eaten *AT* Giuseppi’s. It’s a hole in the wall, not terribly clean inside – and sincere pain to find. In fact, I don’t really think that I’d want to eat *IN* Giuseppi’s. I’d be afraid of what I’d find. That said, it has all of those things that add up to the perfect locally grown pizzeria. The food is reasonably priced, and the pizza, and lasagna is far and away better than any other I’ve had locally in Rockford. If you don’t get *TAKE OUT* or *DELIVERY* from Giuseppi’s then you are *TRULY MISSING OUT!!* Give it a chance!

Staff often in a rush or even rude on the phone. Very busy and popular restaurant in Rockford (behind the Walgreens on the corner of Halstead and N.Main Street). It has been open forever and has delicious lasagna, thick and amazing pizza, and pasta dishes come with home made garlic bread that is sometimes so good you eat the whole thing. The inside of the restaurant is small, but the food is so amazing it is worth the possible slightly rude high school girl taking your order. You can tell this is a family run place that is full of love.
A hidden gem. I have eaten at Guiseppi’s maybe four or five times and have always been very impressed with the service and food. I love the ravioli, the red sauce is full of flavor, and cannoli. It is located directly behind a Walgreens so it is hidden from Main Street. Many people I have talked to are unaware of this place but hopefully that will change.
