Used to be a favorite. This used to be a favorite of ours, but of late the whole experience at the Rose has been declining. Snotty waitresses and bartenders (who don’t know how to mix a proper drink) coupled with poor service, insulting portion sizes and mediocre quality have left us baffled as to what’s going on with this establishment. When food comes out wrong it is also accompanied by an arm’s long list of excuses. Patrons don’t want excuses – especially when they’ve been going to a place long enough to know what the dish should be. When you now charge $4-$5 more than you used to, but only present 1/4 of the portion you’re going to alienate your diners.
Fabulous food. They have a basil salad dressing that blew my mind. Reasonably priced and nice atmosphere.
Whatever you do, don’t sit outside. No service.
Horrible experience!!!. My husband and I were looking for a new place to eat for my birthday. My husband had suggested going to the Irish Rose. Since we had never been there before we thought it would be fun to try something new. What a MISTAKE!!! I had a martini which was very good however when ordering 2 appetizers this is where things fell apart. We ordered the bruschetta and blue cheese mushrooms. The mushrooms came out with what looked like just butter sitting in them. No taste what so ever and no sign of any blue cheese. The bruschetta came out on a piece of toast, 3 hugh basil leaves on top, a slice of tomato and fresh mozzarella. No real flavor and the basil leaves were so big it was hard to eat. They also have no dinner menu. The waitress tells you what they have for dinner or you can go look at the chalk board at the front of the restaurant. Needless to say after one drink and very disappointing appetizers we left. They are also way over priced!!!

Delicious food! Service is a little scattered sometimes but the meals are always well prepared and tasty.
Amazing food. Simply amazing. I went with 4 other people and every one of our dishes was amazing. From appetizers to entres to dessert we were very impressed. I’ve worked in restaurants in 4 star restaurants from Maine to Chicago and was utterly impressed. Our server knew the menu like the back of her hand, and guided us well. I’ll go back anytime.
