Kuma’s Great!. My family and I just ate at Kuma’s tonight and really liked it. Tried lots of appitizers and really liked the calmari and the egg rolls. We had the added bonus of seeing a long ago friend that is now a server there. Give it a try.
Delightful!. I started going to Kuma’s before I had the disappointment of being diagnosed with a soy allergy. I loved everything I had, appetizer, entree, drinks. After the allergy, there’s only two things on the menu I can really eat: honey shrimp/chicken and the daikon radish side. While I miss asian food so much, it’s a delightfully soy free option. Would recommend this to EVERYONE, and I do.
Kuma’s is a diamond in the rough known as downtown Rockford. It symbolizes everything that is a Bistro and an Asian amenity in the community.
Unusual eclectric Asian…. Wonderphully eclectric Asian menu! Have experimented with numerous things on the menu and its always been good. Try some of the chef specials. She is creative and always phigures out new and terriphic ways to combine Japanese, Korean, Chinese and American in terriphic new ways.Does some great catering as well
Kuma’s is great. The location has a great downtown vibe, and the food is wonderful. Not strictly Korean, this place fuses the best of many Asian flavors. I’ve eaten their several times and have never been dissapointed.
Their wontons are the best I have ever eaten. The sushi is stacked, not rolled. The flavor is good but it is a challenge to eat without spilling it all over yourself.
The appitizers and soup were really good! Our entree was average, and the service left a little to be desired. All in all a good place for something a little different.
