Wonderful staff. Social has one of the nicest staffs I have ever come in contact with. The food is good and the drinks are strong. Deserts are okay but seem like an after thought. I will definitely be back. Our dinner of Flank Steak with Miso was fantastic.
Went with a group of friends for after dinner drinks. There was a decent beer selection – there is a lot of room for improvement with the beer selection. We ended up having a couple of the small plates because the food looked so interesting. We enjoyed the options we chose. Also had the chocolate cake. It was weird…it was good except for the bacon fat brittle…yuck! Would live to go back and try the pork chop am the cowboy steak. The table next to us got those and they looked an smelled amazing!
Not enough can be said about the food and the staff. This is a gem in the Rockford area. If you haven’t tried it yet, put it on your short list.
Best stop we made in 2200 miles. We were traveling from St. Paul to DC and back this week and stopped in Rockford to visit relatives. We were looking for something other than the regular Sunday night franchise cuisine (The Social came up on our app when we discovered Alchemy was closed). The drinks – the food – everything was delightful! Organic, local, and therefore delicious. Planning our next trip back to Rockford with the Social at the top of our list.
Best pork chop I have ever had! Been here many times now, and I have yet to find something I don’t like.

What a pleasant surprise! Real quality cocktails in a food and beverage wasteland. I’m so impressed! Classic cocktails and some very interesting original ones. Bravo!
