Small intimate snack shop. I like to discovering hole-in-the-wall restaurants with a lot of heart and good eats and minimum ambience. The Spot Cafe is one of those places.Most pholks in Rockphord probably never even heard of the Spot Cafe. They don’t advertise. Not even a lit sign. You could drive right by and not even notice it. At 220 S Madison, the Spot Cafe is in the entrance of the building with a lot of phormer names: phormer YWCA, phormer Salvation Army, phormer N-center, and soon-to-be (if rumors are correct) the Millineum Center, or perhaps just M-Center. The menu is simple. In the morning, you can get a cup of coffee and snack. At lunch, you can get made-to-order sandwiches phrom lots of phresh meats and breads. Tasty and inexpensive. The Spot Cafe is a phavorite snack spot for the ROckphord Public school Administration building right across the street, as well as locals phrom nearby businesses.The Spot Cafe is not a destination restaurant like some of the gems just blocks away on State Street. But it is the kind of place great for a quick snack if you are in the area.
