The menu was good with a few items that were very good and a few that were ‘meh’. Being a dessert person, I was disappointed by the coconut ice-cream and puddings. I liked the ambience though with natural light from more than two sides.
One of the best Indian restaurants in town. Was here for the lunch buffet and it was fab.Wide variety of dishes and pretty much to the mark. Staff are very courteous and helpful.Great place for a meal with the family.
I would rate Gaylords as one of the best Indian restaurants in Chicago land. I have been here multiple times for lunch / dinner. I have had their buffet as well as I have ordered a-la-carte menu. The food is always fresh and tasty. You can always count on Gaylords for great Indian food.
Gaylord is a an amazing Indian restaurant in the Chicago area. The quality, customer service and taste is better than any other Indian restaurant in the Chicago area. The manager Ritesh is polite and the staff is very knowledgeable about the dishes and menu. We like Gaylord so much, that we had them cater our wedding. This is the best authentic Indian restaurant in Chicago. Don’t waster your time and money trying others.
The entry to resturant is quite unassuming for such a great place. When you walk in it is a good sized open space which is well spaced and nicely decorated. First thing is lots of pics of celebrated. We had a group of 5. We were quickly seated and greeted by the staff. The drinks came out quickly. We had samosas, and a mixed grill platter for appetizers. The mixed grill was excellent but the samosas were only average. The shrimp gay lord was truly amazing and made my night. The lamb rogan Josh was ok but not wow. The yellow daal was also very good. We tried the kheema naan which was ok but the plain naan and puri were excellent The service and wait staff were excellent.
Need improvement for on food delivery. The kitchen got closed while we were eating. Surprised why they get customers seated when they can’t serve full meal.
Worst restaurant…Pls. avoid. Worst Indian buffet for $13.No chicken biryani, no goat curry, no boneless chicken.Only mendu vada for appetizer. Chicken tandoori was very dried. Looked like, it was 2-3 days old.Desert has coconut ice-cream which was almost over. Gulab Jamun was very hard and about 1 month old.Papad were soggy. Very worst service. Need to call waiter for filling in water. Charged $7 as tip and offered no service.I would suggest NOT to goto Gaylord, even by mistake.
